Queen's University A beautiful building designed and built by Charles Lanyon. It is situated beside Botanic Gardens Park. This is my favourite area of Belfast, containing some of the best architecture in the city. As well as Queen's there is the Ulster Museum ( a brilliant fusion of modern and traditional architecture ) the glasshouse in Botanic Gardens ( I did a painting of it once, but unfortunately no longer have an image of it ) the Elmswood Hall, home to the Ulster Orchestra, the Presbyterian College, and Methodist College. The area is good for nightlife, the nearby Botanic Avenue has many lively bars and good restaurants. ditRegion5   EditRegion6
